Argyrodes elevatus

The 'dew-drop spider'. This small silver spider is a 'kleptoparasite'. It is usually found close to the webs of large orb weaving spiders such as Argiope or Nephila. It patrols these webs picking off things that are caught. The spider treads very carefully as the owner of the web would happily eat the little dew-drop spider. It is, however, benificial to the owner of the web as it helps to clear out prey too small to eat that would just decay in the web.
